What's Happening at Alpha Omega Aircrafters...

We have moved to a new location! As part of our ten-year growth plan, we have moved to The Eastern Iowa Airport (KCID). After six months of planning, renovating, moving and cleaning up, we have settled into our new location at 2802 Lippisch Place SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. We will be able lto expand the business, add some new services, and better serve our customers from our new location.

Open House - February 23, 2006 marks the date of the Open House to celebrate our move to The Eastern Iowa Airport (TEIA). The event was from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce (www.cedarrapids.org) to start the event. We are excited about being at TEIA. This is a good move for Alpha Omega and is right on track with our ten-year business growth plan. We look forward to better serving our customers from our new location.

Future Growth Plans - Our current lease with TEIA is for two years. After the lease is up we will be looking to either expand or move across the street and just a little west into the current airport safety office where the fire and security services for the airport are administered. The airport administration has informed us that they have plans to build a new safety office at another location on the field in about two years. The current safety office will be a wonderful facility for our future use. The shop area will be just a little larger than our current location but will add several shop rooms, offices, lounge, kitchen, locker rooms, and a hose tower. In addition, this future facility will be inside the airport security fence where we will have direct access to the taxiways and runways at KCID. Longer term plans are to add a hanger to the north end of this building within two years of taking occupancy.

Chamber Report - In May of 2004, AOA joined the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce (www.cedarrapids.org). On June 10th, 2004 we had our grand opening and official ribbon cutting event. The picture of this event can be found in the August 2004 issue of the CR Chamber Report.
